I've been working for a law firm for almost three years now. It's my first job after graduating from uni. I took on the role, thinking I would eventually pursue law but I'm not sure about that anymore, given I'm still not even halfway paying for my student loan. Sure my financial standing affects how I think and feel about my job, but lately I just feel really stuck. Paralegal work is a decent work. It gives me opportunities to learn but oftentimes, I find myself asking if this is the life I want. It's a high stress environment, it takes so much time and headspace from me even when I've already clocked out. I don't know if I still want to keep working as a paralegal or if I can find any opportunities for career growth in this field. I'm just so confused and anxious thinking about it, I thought it would be better to reach out. If anyone here can relate to what I'm going through or has been in the same situation before, I would love to get any advice! Please, also no hate here. I don't mean to disrespect the paralegal community. I just really need some guidance!
