Feeling stuck

I've been working for a law firm for almost three years now. It's my first job after graduating from uni. I took on the role, thinking I would eventually pursue law but I'm not sure about that anymore, given I'm still not even halfway paying for my student loan. Sure my financial standing affects how I think and feel about my job, but lately I just feel really stuck. Paralegal work is a decent work. It gives me opportunities to learn but oftentimes, I find myself asking if this is the life I want. It's a high stress environment, it takes so much time and headspace from me even when I've already clocked out. I don't know if I still want to keep working as a paralegal or if I can find any opportunities for career growth in this field. I'm just so confused and anxious thinking about it, I thought it would be better to reach out. If anyone here can relate to what I'm going through or has been in the same situation before, I would love to get any advice! Please, also no hate here. I don't mean to disrespect the paralegal community. I just really need some guidance!

Greetings @ma_sj01, welcome to the forum. I'm sorry the job just doesn't have the spark for you. Have you looked into legal departments for large corporations? Good luck on finding a job that a paralegal background would be of use. What about working with a mortgage company, making sure all forms are correct?

Paralegal work is stressful and can feel draining, especially when you're unsure about your path, it might help to explore related fields like compliance or legal tech for better balance and growth, also talking to people who switched careers can give you ideas too

It's completely understandable to feel this way, especially a few years into your first job out of university.
Many people hit a similar crossroads, questioning their initial career path and looking for more fulfillment or a better work-life balance.
I think your experience in a law firm is valuable and can open doors to many different fields, not just law.
Working as a paralegal can help you gain transferable skills like research, organization, and critical thinking, which are highly sought after.
I agree with @Alan and @Baileyz about exploring what other industries or roles might appeal to you.
Don't be afraid to network and talk to people about their careers.
It's a journey, and it's okay to pivot when you realize something isn't quite right!
